What to Do
It is important for newcomers to meet colleagues and neighbors, and get involved in the life of their communities. Much of what happens in our area arises out of interpersonal interactions. There are also many publicly advertised events, like the Intertribal Ceremonial, the Red Rock Balloon Rally, and the Squash Blossom Classic.
People interested in Native American culture will find rich traditions to explore. Outdoors enthusiasts will discover plenty of like-minded peers. A small but vibrant arts community gathers every month during the Arts Crawl. Basketball and rodeo fans will be in good company, as both activities enjoy a tremendous following in our area.
